Checkered nails with dots

Hello there!! Here is yet another pattern nail design, checkered nails with dots. I have done this with two color combos, grey-black and white-black. Hope you like it :)!!!

I used...

Apply a base coat and one or two coats of your base color and let them dry.
Using a nail art striper brush and back acrylic paint, draw a grid as shown..
Fill in the alternate squares with black nail polish, to get a checkerboard design.
Now add black dots in the grey squares...
and grey dots in the black squares...
Finally add a top coat and you are done:)!!!

If you do not want to add dots and want to keep it simple, then here is the look of the basic checkered nails or chess board nails.

Argyle Nails

Hello girlies!! Here goes another pattern nail design, the Argyle nails. I used Black and yellow combo. I was not 100 percent satisfied as the white lines became thick. It looks good when the lines are thin. Hope you enjoy recreating the design( with thinner lines ofcourse ...lol...).

I used...

Apply a base coat and one or two coats of your base color and let it dry.
Draw a diamond in the middle of the nail, with black nail polish.
Fill in the diamond with black nail polish.
With a white nail polish striper draw two diagonal lines so that they intersect in the middle of your nail. Apply a top coat and you are done :)!!!

Stripes nail art using toothpick

Hello there!! Here is my second pattern, the basic stripes pattern nail art.  You will find thousands of posts relating to stripes nail art in google. I do them in 3 different ways. One way is using toothpick, the other is using scotch tape and the final one using a striper brush. I don't want to flood all of these methods in one post. So, I have 3 posts for you today..Woohoo!!!
Here is the first method using a tooth pick. It is super easy and I like the bumpy look it creates. Hope you like it too :)

I used...

Apply a clear base coat and a thick coat of your base color. When the nail polish is still wet, start creating stripes by dragging a toothpick through the nail polish as shown in the picture.  Keep a tissue paper by your side as you need to clean the toothpick after each line to avoid mess around your nails. You can create either horizontal or vertical stripes. Here I did horizontal stripes.  The idea is to remove some lines of nail paint, to get the stripes. You should be a bit fast in doing this as you get better results when the nail paint is still wet.

If you want to enjoy the bumpy look, don't apply a top coat and if you want a smooth look, apply a top coat and you are done :)!!! I hope you enjoy recreating it and don't forget to join me to get the updates :)!!!!

Stripes nail art using scotch tape

Hello there!! Here is my second pattern, the basic stripes pattern nail art.  You will find thousands of posts relating to stripes nail art in google. So, I have 3 posts for you today..Woohoo!!!
Here is the second method, using a scotch tape. This takes some time but the outcome is pretty impressive. Hope you enjoy this :)!!

I used.....

Firstly cut a bit of scotch tape into stripes and stick them to the edge of your working table as it will be easy for you while taking them out.

Apply a base coat and two coats of white nail polish and let it dry completely.

Then stick the tape stripes on to the nail leaving gaps. The boldness of the lines depends on the gaps we leave between the tape stripes and the tape stripe's thickness.

Then apply nail polish of your choice as shown. You can use one color or many. Here I have used 2 colors.

Without waiting, peel off the tape from the nail. Apply a top coat and you are done:)!!!
